Past Simple Tense: Regular Verbs

Lesson 1: Past Simple Tense (Regular Verbs).

1. Overview
In this lesson, you will learn how to talk about completed actions in the past using regular verbs.

2. Rules for Regular Verbs
To form the past simple of a regular verb, add "-ed" to the base form for all subjects:
- Work -> Worked
- Play -> Played
- Listen -> Listened

3. Spelling Rules
- If a verb ends in "e", add just "-d" (e.g., live -> lived).
- If a verb ends in a consonant + "y", change "y" to "i" and add "-ed" (e.g., study -> studied).

4. Examples & Sentences
- I worked in construction last year.
- She studied philosophy in 2022.
- They watched a movie yesterday.

Change the verbs in parentheses to the Past Simple:
