Past Simple Tense: Irregular Verbs

Lesson 2: Past Simple Tense (Irregular Verbs).

1. Overview
Unlike regular verbs, irregular verbs do not follow a simple "-ed" rule in the past tense. You must memorize their past forms.

2. Common Irregular Verbs
- Go -> Went
- Have -> Had
- See -> Saw
- Make -> Made
- Take -> Took
- Come -> Came
- Do -> Did

3. Negative and Interrogative Forms
To make negative sentences or questions in the past, use "did not (didn't)" or "did" with the base form of the verb:
- I didn't go to work yesterday.
- Did you see that movie?

4. Examples & Sentences
- I went to the market this morning.
- He made a custom web application.
- She had a great idea.
