Present Continuous Tense

Lesson 1: Present Continuous Tense.

1. Overview
In this lesson, you will learn how to describe actions that are happening right now, at the exact moment of speaking, or temporary situations.

2. Structure
[Subject] + [am / is / are] + [verb + -ing]
- I am learning English.
- He is writing code.
- They are testing the database.

3. Spelling Rules for -ING
- Drop the silent "e" and add "-ing" (e.g., make -> making, write -> writing).
- Double the final consonant for short, stressed verbs ending in consonant-vowel-consonant (e.g., run -> running, sit -> sitting).

4. Negative and Interrogative Forms
- Negative: I am not sleeping.
- Interrogative: Are you working right now?
