1. Overview
Master the use of the subjunctive mood to express urgency, formal demands, recommendations, or hypothetical conditions with maximum precision.

2. Mandatory Subjunctive (Base Form Verbs)
After verbs like *demand, insist, propose, recommend, require* or structures like *it is imperative/essential that*, use the base form of the verb regardless of subject:
- It is imperative that he **be** informed immediately.
- The administrator recommended that every user **update** their password.

3. Were-Subjunctive & Formulaic Expressions
- Be that as it may (despite that)
- Suffice it to say (it is enough to say)
- If need be (if necessary)
- Come what may (whatever happens)
